Advanced Athletic Ashtanga: A dynamic advanced level class that synchronizes movement with the breath. This class flows comparative to Larry Schultz's "ROCKET" routines from IT"S YOGA San Francisco, where the instructor Grace Tuma studied. This series of asanas (postures) is based on a modification of the traditional Ashtangha Vinyasa intermediate series as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India. This is a feel good sequence of inversions, back bends and spinal twisting that opens the body and clears the mind. Frequent hand stands and arm balances keep the energy high. A playful and upbeat routine.
