Am I ready to do the training?
My questions for you: Is Nia something you
are drawn to? Do you experience the JOY of movement in a Nia class, do you love it?
Do you feel excited about the opportunity when considering the training? And last but not least, if you hear a familiar song in the supermarket do you have the urge and/or do you dance??
Nia trainees come to the intensive with a wide variety of experience and desires. The training will meet you where you are at and deepen your relationship with Nia.

How do I register for the training?
All training registration is managed via Nia HQ www.nianow.com Nia education link. Call Nia HQ at 1-800-762-5762 with any registration questions. The training fee is $1599.00. In full or deposit of $500. Upon registration you will receive your Nia pretraining material and suggested reading list. Purchasing The Nia Technique Book via Nia HQ is highly recommended.

At this time I don’t plan to teach Nia, can I take the training for personal growth?
Yes! Each session creates a personal growth dimension while preparing others to teach.

Can I teach Nia after the training?
Yes. After the training you are considered a Nia apprentice. You are considered Nia Certified after you attend the Nia Green Belt. The Nia White belt provides you with a strong introduction and foundation to teach. Depending on your previous experience with teaching, fitness/dance and music coupled with the time you are able devote to Nia will determine when you are ready to teach. The Nia license grants you a 3 months grace period to prepare yourself to teach. Your 1st Nia license is 15 months.

What is the Nia license?
The Nia license fee is $520. It may be paid in full at the training or in a monthly payment plan. The Nia license grants you the right to use the trademark name of Nia. You also receive your Nia continuing education materials of 4 Nia routines a year to teach.( BTW you are welcome to purchase additional Nia routines.)
If you purchase the license at the training, you receive your materials at that time. You are welcome to purchase the license any time after the training.

About the training with Casey:
One of the favorite parts of training with Casey is the lunch break deep relaxations! Not required, but for sure, delicious! At the trainings in Albany, Casey will host dinner at her home the 1st night. Also some expressive arts is woven into the training along with working with special populations. Most of the Nia WB routines are presented during the training. Casey loves to choreograph Nia routines, so you will experience a “Casey” routine during the training. In Albany, the trainings frequently end with a Nia Dance Jam celebration.

Housing in Albany:
There are a wide variety of hotels in the Albany area. Some Nia teachers and Nia students do offer a kind of B & B arrangement for $150 for entire training period. Information provided upon request. Once you register for the training additional information will be provided.
