The training is a wonderful blend of the presentation of the Nia 13 principles and physical experience of integrating these concepts. There are teaching sessions, group discussion, somatic exercises and focus and integration of the principles in to the Nia class experience. There are freedance sessions throughout the training, working with music and journaling. Feedback and mentoring of working with the 52 Nia moves and business discussions also provided. Personal growth and focus on preparing to teach are all geared for the particular trainee. Lunch is an hour and 1/2. I also provide an "optional" deep relaxation session. Upon completion of the Nia intensive training, and in order to teach Nia as a certified teacher, a Nia certification fee is paid annually which includes:

  • Eight hours of video taped educational and class/workshop material
  • Permission to use the Nia name and logo
  • Use of the Nia 800 phone number
  • Written material for reprint
  • The Nia Newsletter
  • Option to purchase the Nia Business and Marketing Manual, complete with art, educational, technical and professional support
  • Professional, personal, public relations and office support, including class, workshop, presentation and speaker referrals.

The Nia White Belt Level 1 teaching provides trainees with the physical sensation of Nia. The foundation of the training consist of 13 principles laid systematically by Debbie Rosas and Carlos Rosas. Each session will have a specific focus that explores the Science--Art & Craft of each principle in an experiential and cognitive way. Nia classes are taught each day along with Freedance session. The training provides the foundation to then obtain the Nia license, work with the continuing education videos and then to begin to teach Nia.
